NIFD holds function; students display creativity, innate talent

JAMMU, Sept 11: National Institute of Fashion Design (NIFD) Jammu today organized a function at KC Orchid, wherein a lot of entertainment, joy, talent and creativity were displayed by the students.
The creativity of the student was clearly visible through their performances and the decor of the stage. Each and every student participated and displayed their innate talent through dancing, singing, reciting poems etc. The entire ambience was of celebration and merry making.
The occasion was graced by the presence of guests and judges, Monika Bhatia (owner of Poshak Bridal Emporio), Shivani Gupta (beauty and wellness expert and owner of Shalz Medispa), Sujata Anand (an image makeover consultant since past 17 years), Sidharth Dogra (Director/partner of Jammu Links).
The judges had a tough time in the selection of Miss Fresher and Miss NIFD, before the curtain was drawn; few deserving students were given the titles and prizes as per winners of the event. Certificates of appreciation were also distributed amongst the participants.
Anu Manhas was adjudged as Miss NIFD while the title of Miss Fresher was won by Zeenat. The 1st runner up was Damini Wali while 2nd runners up were Mehak Gupya and Ankita.
The title of Best Walk went to Raghvi, Best Performance to Sakshi Bhagat, Best Dress to Mehak Verma and Kanika Virdi, Miss Elegance to Jhanvi, Best Accessory to Navya Verma and Best Smile to Mahima Grover.
Speaking on the occasion, Vanita Thakur, chairperson of Institute said that NIFD always strived to give its students the best platform to showcase their talent and creativity. She also used the occasion to announce that NIFD Fashion Show would be held in November this year.
