Night matches commence at KK Hakku Stadium

JAMMU, Apr 23: For the first time, the night hockey matches were organised at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium by Hockey J&K, which commenced today.
Secretary Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul Secretary was the chief guest on the occasion who inaugurated the match, wherein in the exhibition matches, junior men, sub junior women and sub junior men teams are taking part.
In her address, the chief guest appreciated the role of Hockey J&K for promoting sport in J&K and announced a special generator will be installed for electricity backup in the stadium so that the players can play the game without any hindrance. She also assured that soon special flood lights for night matches will be installed in KK Hakku Stadium for organising night matches.
President Hockey J&K, Rajeev Sharma thanked the Secretary Sports Council and Chief Account Officer for encouraging the players.
Dr Taran Singh secretary general of the Association welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries including RS Kuku general secretary Hockey India and other office bearers of Hockey J&K.
