SRINAGAR, Dec 6: The Meteorological Department today forecast dry weather for next 24 hours with night temperatures dip further and staying below freezing.
Srinagar, had a low of minus 2.2 degree Celsius. Gulmarg in North Kashmir dropped to 1.5 degree Celsius. Pahalgam in South Kashmir recorded a low of minus 3.2 degree Celsius.
Kupwara in North Kashmir recorded the minimum of minus 3.7 degree Celsius while in Kokernag town in South it was minus 1.3 degree Celsius. Qazigund recorded the minimum at minus 2.3 degree Celsius.
Leh being the coldest place recorded minimum temperature of minus 9.4 degree Celsius and Kargil town recorded the minimum of minus 6.8 degree Celsius.
The minimum temperature in Jammu city was 9.4 degree Celsius Katra recorded 10.6 degree Celsius, Batote 8.2 degree Celsius, Banihal 3.3 degree Celsius and Bhaderwah 4.0 degree Celsius as the lowest night temperature.
Srinagar recorded maximum day temperature of 12.5 degree Celsius while normal day temperature for this time of the year is 11 degree Celsius. Qazigund recorded 13.5 degree Celsius, Pahalgam 13.9 degree Celsius, Kupwara 13.7 degree Celsius, Kokernag 13.3 degree Celsius, Gulmarg 11.5 degree Celsius, Leh 10.3 degree Celsius and Kargil 8.1 degree Celsius.
The day temperatures in Jammu city was recorded at 22.3 degree Celsius, while it was 21.1 degree Celsius in Katra town, 18.8 degree Celsius in Batote, 20.3 degree Celsius in Banihal and 17.6 degree Celsius in Bhaderwah town.
