JAMMU, Oct 8:The National Incredible Literacy Mission (NILM) J&K conducted a crucial Drug Abuse Awareness Program at Shining Star High School, Muthi Jammu, aimed at educating students about the dangers of drug abuse. The initiative featured engaging presentations and interactive sessions led by experts in drug prevention and counselling, providing students with essential knowledge and tools to recognize and avoid drug-related issues.
R.S Thakur, Project Director of NILM J&K, inaugurated the program, emphasizing the importance of educating youth about the risks of drug abuse. “This initiative aims to empower students to make positive choices and seek help when needed,” he stated. Principal Rachna Goswami highlighted the significance of such programs in creating a safe and informed school community. The event saw active participation from school staff, including Anjali Bhat, Reeta Koul, Nisha Sharma and Vishali Sharma.
The Project Director expressed gratitude to Shining Star High School and all participants for their contributions to this vital awareness initiative, marking a significant step in NILM’s ongoing efforts to promote health and well-being among young people.
