JAMMU, Nov 24: Annual festivities of Junior Wing of KC Public School came to a conclusion today morning with a grand display of skills in physical coordination, agility and suppleness by students of Classes III and IV in the form of the 5th Edition of the ‘Nimble Feet Fitness Fest 2017’ presented on outdoor arena.
SDM Akhnoor, Sunaina Mehta, who is also a parent of the school, presided over the programme as a chief guest. The Fest commenced with the invocation dance choreographed tastefully to a semi-classical composition in Tamil.
Then one after the other, children regaled the audience with an array of well-rehearsed group performances beginning with a march-past proclaiming the Six Ideals of the Round Square Movement, namely, Internationalism, Environment-alism, Democracy, Leadership, Adventure and Service.
It was followed by PT displays, Yogic exercises in synchronicity with a Michael Jackson song, Dances, Martial Arts, Roller Skating and a Grand Finale that received thunderous ovation from the audience.
In her address, the chief guest Sunaina Mehta spoke at length about the imperative need for comprehensive education system.
She complimented KC Public School on its membership of the Round Square and expressed the hope that its students would benefit a great deal through its ideals in the coming years.
She concluded with the observation that the standard of children’s performance during the function spoke volumes about the quality of education being imparted at KCPS and complimented school management, leadership, teachers and students for their team spirit and collective effort towards achieving their shared objectives.
The celebrations came to a close with the National Anthem.
