LEH, Mar 27: Nimoo Bazgo Power Station, NHPC Ltd, Alchi, Leh-Ladakh, organised an All India Kavi Sammelan at Sindhu Sanskriti Kendra at Leh, in which three poets of national repute, namely Dinesh Raghuvanshi, Arun Gemini and Vineet Chauhan participated.
District Magistrate Prasanna Ramaswamy, SSP Leh Uday Bhaskar Billa, Brigadier Brijesh Pandey, DIG ITBP Yadav, the Executive Councillors and other dignitaries of the District graced the occasion by their presence. The representatives from District Administration, Indian Army and school children were also present among the audience.
The poets resonated the auditorium with their presentations, which included poems on nationalism and humour.
After welcome speech by Chief Engineer (Elect), S Adhikari, the Executive Director, Region-Jammu S Kalgaonkar, briefed about the achievements of NHPC Ltd and future plans of NHPC.
The objective of this All India Kavi Sammelan was the promotion of Rajbhasha and entertainment of people who work in this difficult terrain.
