Nirvan Divas of Krishan Joo Razdan observed

JAMMU, Dec 19: A function was held in Sanjeevni Sharda Kendra, Anand Nagar, Bohri near here today to observe the Nirvana Divas of famous Bhakti poet of Kashmiri Pandit Krishan Joo Razdan.
On the occasion eminent poet Prem Nath Shad was the chief guest and noted Hindi critic and linguist Prof P N Trisal presided over the function. Pushkar Nath Raina , a researcher on the folk and Vanvun heritage was special guest.  While highlighting the grandeur of the poetry of the famous poet Prof Trisal traced in scholarly and in-depth manner various aspects of Bhakti poetry of Krishan Joo Razdan and also delineated the importance of love, social mores and word usage in his poetry. He said that it was a great experience to hear and read the immensely rich Bhakti poetry of Razdan Sahib. Quoting from Bhakti poetry of Hindi he underlined the various hither to unknown aspects of the poetry of Pandit Krishan Joo Razdan.
Pushkar Nath Raina while speaking on the occasion lamented that while a lot has been written on the various aspects of his poetry very little has been said about the historical value of his poetry and the way Krishan Joo Razdan reflected the pain and pathos of his times. Prem  Nath Shad presented a deeply researched paper on Razdan and also recited a Leela on the occasion.
Bindaban Sher, and Autar Hugami presented their short papers on the life of the famous poet. Noted columnist Shiban Khabri, Autar Krishen Trakroo and Bindraban Sher took part in a lively interaction with the experts on the occasion. Noted singer Shanti Lal Siddha sang bhajans of Krishan Joo Razdan.
