Nirvana Academy, Jaz’ n Caz Dance Institute organize ‘Dance Jammu Dance’

JAMMU, Dec 1: Nirvan Academy and Jaz’ n Caz Dance Institute organised a dancing talent hunt show “Dance Jammu Dance” in the auditorium of Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk, here today.
On the occasion, MP Gupta, State general secretary, BSP was the chief guest.
The function started with a Dogri folk group dance performed by the participants of Youngsters Dancing group followed by dance performances by the children of all ages.
In Sub Junior solo group, first prize was bagged by Aakash (Rythm Dance Academy, RS Pura), while, second prize was shared by Manya (Unique Dance Institute) and Vibhuti. The third prize was conferred to Vanshika (Unique Dancing Institute) and Sara.
In Solo Junior, first prize was bagged by Priya (Sarvodya Institute of Music and Dance), whereas, Sherloka (Unique Dancing Institute) and Govinda (Sarvodya Institute of Music and Dance) shared second position. The third prize was claimed by Manvi and Vikas.
In Solo Senior, first prize was claimed by Parul (Unique Dancing Institute), whereas Rajveer and Sandeep bagged second position. The third prize was conferred to Shivani and Pinki (Sarvodya Institute).
In Duet Dance Junior, first prize was bagged by Aryan and Aryan Kotwal (Sarvodya Institute of Music and Dance).
In Duet Dance Sub Junior, first prize was claimed by Asma and Karan (Youngster Dance Group).
In Group Dance, Gulshan Group (Rythm Dance Academy, RS Pura) emerged winner.
Dance Jammu Dance was conceived, directed and choreographed by Tarun and Sonam Dolma.
The judges were Subash Jamwal, noted actor, choreographer and Umesh Singh, National Acclaimed Director Actor, who adjudged the performance of the students.
Guest dance performances were choreographed by Tarun and Sonam, young and energetic Choreographers of Modern Dance Era and these performances were highly appreciated by the audience.
At the end, Hitesh Badyal, president, Nirvana Academy presented vote of thanks.
The programme was anchored by Priya Sharma.
Among others present were Meenakshi Sharma, general secretary, Neeraj Sharma, vice president, Nishant Vaid, secretary PR and Publicity, Sunil Sharma, dance choreographer), Shaku, Sonu Taneja, Rumeet and Rishab.
