JAMMU, Sept 17: NIS Club defeated SAI Club in a close contest of the District Open Kho-Kho Championship to win the title, here today.
Pankaj Malhotra and Shubham Bhau emerged star performers for NIS Club as they helped their side to defeat SAI club with four minutes remaining.
Meanwhile, in women section, SAI Club got the better of NIS Club in a neck to neck encounter as this match got tied two times and finally in a sudden death, SAI took the advantage and won the match.
Chief Guest Manmeet Singh applauded the players for commendable performance.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were SBS Tirthi (Sr Vice President of the Association, Harjeet Singh, general secretary, besides Tarmeet Raina, Dhiraj Sharma, Vishal Brandies, Deepak Thapa, Gagan, Deepak Kumar, Amrinder Pal Singh, and Ajeet Singh.
