JAMMU, Apr 28: National Institute for Skills Development (NISD) celebrated Annual Event ‘Celebration of Talent’ with zeal and zest at Abhinav Theatre, here today.
Aditi Sharma, senior leader BJP was the chief guest on the occasion, while Kartar Chand, Principal GDC Kathua, Netar Singh, Ex Principal GDC Kathua, Sandhya Gupta, Founder Women Club ‘Meri Pehchan’ and Dr Rinku Gupta, Chairperson of CIS Elementary School was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Aditi Sharma said that with good skills anybody can earn for his family and live comfortable life.
NISD Jammu, NISD Bari-Brahmana and NISD Kathua students took part and displayed their talent of Dress Designing, Make Up and Hair Styling.
Managing Director of NISD Manju Bala threw light on the need of skill developing in present era.
She said from the last 3 years, over 350 NISD students got job in J&K and they earn good salary, while over 80 NISD student started their own business from Jalandhar to Ladakh and 98 percent of them are women from 15 to 65 years.
“NISD is No-1 Institute of J&K for providing Beauty & Make Up and Fashion Designing training to youth. NISD institute makes J&K women empowered and self dependent. NISD is also launching their new courses for Advance Level Beauty & Make Up and Hair. NISD now opens admission in diploma in Cosmetology and diploma in Trichology which are advance level courses for skin and hair,” the organisers said.
Model Choreography was done by Vikram, while Shazi Khan and Ashish were hosts of the event.
