DODA, Aug 21: An annual two day long mega wrestling competition was organized by Bhallessa Action Committee at Helipad Green park stadium Gandoh, here today.
The championship was held under the overall supervision of Kewel Singh Manhas, Manir Ahmed Sheik, Mohd Ashraf Kholi, Rafi Choudhary, Shahnawaz Sheikh,Hukam Singh Mangotra, Murtaza Ali B, Gh Hussain, Manir Ahmed Sheikh, Vinay Thakur Mohinder Singh, Rajinder Singh and other members of the Dangal Committee.
Around 15,000 wrestling lovers from different areas reached to witness fights between wrestlers. 70 bouts were played in the two days long Vishal Dangal where wrestlers from Rajasthan,Haryana, Punjab and J&K participated.
Sub District Police Officer, Gandoh Adil Rishu was chief guest and Tehsildar Gandoh Nisak ul Farooq, Inspector, Vikram Singh SHO Gandoh , Senior Leader NC Ch Salam Din were the guests of honour.
The first main bout was fought between Nissar Bhallesaa and Tariq Chilly, in this bout was won by Nissar Bhallessi. He was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 30,000 by dignitaries, while runners-up Wrestler Sulaman got Rs 20000.
