KATRA, May 18: Wrestler Nissar of Doda lifts”17th Annual Bhamag Kesari” Vishal Dangal title 2015 by defeating Babba of Kot Bhalwal, Jammu in a neck to neck contest at Sardarrar (Kalsote) Moungari in Block of district Udhampur on the concluding day of three days Shiv Parvati Mela under the overall supervision of president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma.
MLA Reasi Advocate Ajay Nanda was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away cash prizes to the winners and runner-up wrestlers.
Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, who is also president Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra presided over the function.
Advocate Swantanter Dev Kotwal, chairman Lord Shiva Parvati caves Shrine (Moungri), Dr Azhar Rashid, Naib Tehsildar Kasturi Lal Sharma who is Mela Officer were the guests of honour.
BDO Sajjad Sumbaria, SHO Panchari Sanjay Abrol, Vice President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Varinder Badyal Retd Headmaster Rattan Singh Manhas and General Secretary BJP District Reasi Ramesh Singh, Hosiar Singh, Yash Paul (All sarpanches) were the prominent persons who were present on the occasion.
Wrestler Nissar was awarded with cash prize of Rs 6,000 along with traditional Gurj (Gadda) and Patta by chief guest Ajay Nanda and Shiv Kumar Sharma while cash prize of Rs 5000 was given to runner-up wrestler Babbar by Advocate Swanranter Dev Kotwal and DyS Dr Azhar Rashid.
The Vishal Dangal was organized by J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association in collaborations with J&K Police and J&K Bank Ltd. 31 bouts were played in the event.
