SRINAGAR, Mar 27: NIT Srinagar organized a felicitation ceremony to honour faculty and staff who excelled in the recent inter-campus sports events. The ceremony was held at the Community Room and attended by Incharge Director Prof. Roohi Naaz and Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman.
In Table Tennis, the winning team included Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Mohd Shafi Mir and Dr. Gowhar Nabi Tantray, while Dr. Manoj Kumar and Dr. Amandeep Singh Rehal were runners-up. Dr. Manoj Kumar won the Chess competition, with Dr. Ashok Kumar as the runner-up. In Badminton, the men’s winners were Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Dinesh Kumar R and Dr. Sandeep, while the runners-up were Dr. Syed Mohsin Shabir, Sohail Ahmad Baba and Er. Junaid ul Islam. In the women’s Badminton category, Dr. Hailiya Ahsan emerged as the winner, with Kowsar Ali Mir as the runner-up.
Dr. Srinibash Mishra, former SAS Coordinator, was also honoured for his contributions. The event highlighted the institute’s commitment to sports and overall well-being.
