SAMBA, Sept 17: Nitan Sharma of Neta Ji Academy Vijaypur clinched gold in Under-17 boys 100 Mtr sprint race, while Mukhtar Ali of HS Sunjwan and Varun Sharma of Parveen Model Supwal claimed silver and bronze medals respectively in the ongoing District Level Inter-School Athletic Meet, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Government Higher Secondary School Ground, here.
The Tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Jarpal Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Samba.
In 200 Mtrs Under-17 boys, Sandeep Singh, Raman Singh Charak and Sunny Singh bagged gold, silver and bronze medal respectively, while in 400 Mtrs Under-17 boys, Mohd Tariq, Parveen Singh and Sajjad Ali claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In high jump Under-17 boys, Vijay Kumar, Rajan Gill and Gurdeep Singh bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in shot put Under-17 boys, Navjot bagged gold, Sahil Sharma bagged silver and Amit Changotra claimed silver.
800 Mtrs, 1500 Mtrs, 3000 Mtrs, discus throw, javelin throw and broad jump events were also held in boys section.
Meanwhile, in 100 Mtrs Under-17 girls, Sapna Devi clinched gold, while Anmol Jamwal and Babli Bana bagged claimed silver and bronze medals respectively.
200 Mtrs, 400 Mtrs, 800 Mtrs, 3000 Mtrs, discus throw, javelin throw and broad jump events were also held in girls section.
