JAMMU, Dec 3: NITS Polytechnic, Indira Nagar, Miran Sahib, organized Yogathon 2014, under the aegis of the Jammu chapter of the Art of Living organization.
The program was beautifully conducted by, Savinder Gupta, AOL Teacher and Director NITS Polytechnic along with Tejasvi, a young and AOL Teacher and the Students Welfare Officer of the institute.
1650 people including the students, staff and general public participated in this unique event which was held in the lawns of the NITS Polytechnic. All the arrangements were nicely made for the smooth conduct of this prestigious event.
Tejasvi while speaking on the occasion said that Yogathon is an Art of Living initiative having the inspiration of H.H Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a universally revered spiritual and humanitarian leader and founder of Art of Living organization.
230 people participated in the Yogathon challenge wherein they completed 108 rounds of Surya Namaskar in the stipulated time.
Savinder Gupta, Director of the institute distributed prizes among the winners on the occasion.
The organizers included Tejasvi, Sahil Gupta ,Shilpa, Nirmal Singh, Neeraj Gupta, Pavitar Singh, Madan Lal, Kishore and Raghu.
