NMC demands implementation of Lavasa Committee recommendations

JAMMU, Dec 29: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has urged the Union Finance Minister to take steps for implementation of recommendations of Lavasa Committee on removal of pay anomalies of employees.
Addressing NMC workers meet here, Shastri also demanded enhancement of minimum pension and pay from Rs.18,000 to Rs. 21,000.
He urged the Finance Minister to make announcements in this regard in the upcoming union budget.
Deliberating on the issue of regularization of daily rated workers of various departments in J&K UT, Shastri appealed to the Lieutenant Governor (LG) G.C Murmu to address and ameliorate the pathetic condition of these workers who are worst sufferers.
He also appealed to the LG administration to consider the demands of J&K pensioners for enhancing medical allowance from Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000 per month.
He also urged the Governor administration to immediately order allotting separate wage head in each department in the backdrop of announcements regarding regularization of daily rated workers so that several thousand daily rated workers working in various departments may get their monthly salary regularly.
Other demands discussed on this occasion were setting up of National Wage Commission, enhancing wages of daily rated workers to Rs. 500 per day, removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre and releasing of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in various departments
