NMC urges Guv to release emoluments of daily wagers

JAMMU, Feb 8: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged upon Governor NN Vohra to release pending emoluments of daily rated workers at the earliest.
Addressing a meeting of NMC activists, Subhash Shastri, president, NMC, said that hopes of Government employees and pensioners with Governor NN Vohra have increased with the latter passing directions to expedite regularization of eligible daily rated workers.
Shastri urged the Governor to release pending emoluments of daily rated workers without any delay. He also appealed for announcing and releasing pending 6% DA installment due since July 2015 in favour of State Government employees and pensioners to mitigate their sufferings.
Enhancing salary of daily wagers to Rs 10,000 per month, strict implementation of CP Fund deduction scheme in all departments of the State Government, enhancing medical allowance to Rs 1000 per month and removing all pay anomalies of clerical cadre under SRO 93, were other demands highlighted by Shastri.
