SRINAGAR, Dec 25:
Confirming that communication link exists between his party and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Peoples Conference (PC) chairman Sajjad Gani Lone said no decision has so far been taken about extending support to any party in Government formation in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Yes a communication link with BJP is there, but the party, which has two members in the 12th Assembly, has not taken any decision so far, separatist turned politician Lone said.
Lone won from Handwara while another candidate of the party Bashir Ahmad Dar from Kupwara. He said his PC has yet to take any call on supporting any political part. PC can play an important role in the Government formation in the State as the Assembly election results didn’t give a clear majority to any political party.
When asked to comment on the claim made by BJP that two PC candidates and four others have extended their support to it (BJP), Mr Lone said no such decision has so far been taken. “We have so far not been contacted by any political party. We don’t have any reservation in supporting any political party,” he said. (AGENCIES)
