‘No Strings Attached’ adjudged best Short Story

JAMMU, Oct 12: “No Strings Attached”, a Short Story penned down in English by Ambika Bhan from The Law School, University of Jammu was adjudged as the best story in English while “Akhir Kyoon?” a Story written in Hindi by Sarika Sudan from Department of History, was adjudged as the best short story in Hindi.
Appreciation awards have been  recommended  for Mir Nasir from Ramnagar Campus, Parshotam Dass from Department of Sanskrit and Ravi Kumar from Department of Punjabi, University of Jammu for their Short Stories in Urdu, Dogri, and Punjabi, respectively.
It may be mentioned here that subjects for the Short Story Writing were “Forgiveness”, “Morality”, “Any Issue of Social Concern”, “Satire” and “A Tree on the River Side”.
The participants were required to write a Short Story within a time span of 90 minutes and the young writers were supposed to Pen-down a Short Story comprising 1500 words and give a suitable title to the Story.
Dr Vijay Saigal was the Teacher Incharge for Short Story Writing. He made the participants conversant with the Rules and Regulations and supervised the event.
