JAMMU, July 16: Calling the so called ‘Extraordinary General Council Meeting’ held earlier by some members of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at Srinagar illegal, unjustified and unauthorized, the JKCA in a handout issued here has termed the notice issued by vice chairman JKCA Jammu wing with regard to holding of Working Committee meeting on July 20, 2015 as unlawful and against the constitution, to create confusion among the members, particularly the members from Government Institutions.
The handout said that vice chairman JKCA, Jammu wing has already been issued a show-cause notice for illegal activities and unauthorized chairing of so called ‘Extraordinary General Council Meeting’ held on 26-06-2015.
“As per JKCA rules, all the Working Committee meetings are to be called by the general secretary only and chaired by the president only in his presence. With Dr Farooq Abdullah, president of the Association expected to be in Srinagar on 19-07-2015, no one has the legal right to chair the meeting. Moreover, JKCA as per prescribed norms and rules has already issued a notice for Working Committee to be held on July 24, 2015 at Srinagar under the chairmanship of Dr Farooq Abdullah,” handout added.
