UDHAMPUR, June 8: A nomadic woman was knocked to death by an unknown vehicle on the National Highway near Tikri, when she was taking her cattle to upper reaches.
The deceased was identified as Jan Bibi, wife of Ali Mohamed of Khanpur Nagrota Jammu. She was on the way to Sanasar along with her cattle when an unknown vehicle hit her late last night.
Police took the injured to Primary Health Center (PHC) where doctors declared her as brought died. Later, the body was sent for postmortem and then handed over to the family members for burial.
Police has registered a case in this connection.
