JAMMU, Apr 18: Jammu Police today booked a notorious criminal Pawan Kumar of R S Pura under Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal.
Notorious criminal namely Pawan Kumar alias Ghoda son of Sat Pal, resident of Ward Number 4 (R S Pura) was booked under PSA by RS Pura Police after obtaining formal detention orders from the District Magistrate, Jammu. The booked criminal has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
Pertinent to mention that a number of cases were registered against Pawan Kumar, including murder, attempt to murder, etc. He promoted his criminal activities in the area by using illegal arms. Despite his involvement in many FIRs, he did not mend his activities and was again involved in carrying the criminal activities.
The criminal remained successful every time in securing the bails from the Court and in order to refrain him from indulging in criminal activities, a dossier (PSA) was recommended against him, upon which, the District Magistrate, Jammu had issued a PSA warrant against him.
The arrest was made by a team of Police Station R S Pura headed by SHO Naveen Angral under the close supervision of SDPO R S Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.
