JAMMU, Oct 18: A notorious criminal, who was evading his arrest for the past seven months, landed in RS Pura police net here today.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from RS Pura police station arrested a notorious criminal from a hideout.
The accused has been identified as Sunny Kumar, son of Jager Ram of Ward Number 4, RS Pura, who was evading his arrest since March 13, 2015.
He was involved in criminal cases registered with police station RS Pura under FIR Numbers 174/14 under Sections 307, 34, 147, 149 and 120-B and 4/25 Arms Act, 43/15 under Sections 307, 147, 148, 149 RPC and 4/25 Arms act and 138/15 under Sections 366 and 109 RPC.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura police station Inspector Bhushan Manhas made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu Randheer Singh and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
