JAMMU, Dec 19: A notorious drug peddler was booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA) by Police in Gangyal area here today.
A police spokesperson said that Gurdit Singh alias Prince @Pindi of Model Town, Gangyal, Jammu, who was wanted in several cases registered at Police Stations Gangyal, Bishnah, and Gandhi Nagar, was evading his arrest under PSA.
A warrant of arrest against the accused under the Public Safety Act (PSA) was issued by District Magistrate Jammu, he said.
Today, information about the presence of the accused in Gangyal area was received and accordingly, a team of Police Station Gangyal led by SHO Jaswinder Singh concerned raided the suspected area and arrested the absconder and shifted him to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu, added the police spokesperson.
