RAJOURI, Oct 13: The Divisional Administration today detained a notorious drug peddler hailing from Rajouri under Public Safety Act.
The police identified the accused as Nissar Ahmed alias Krishta Mama, son of Abdul Gani, resident of Chandimarh (Surankote) and presently residing at Ward No. 10 Rajouri. He was involved in several cases of seizure of banned drugs/ narcotics and was proving major threat to the young generation of the area.
SSP Rajouri, Yougal Manhas forwarded the dossier of this notorious drug-smuggler to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr MK Bhandari who issued orders for his detention under Public Safety Act for at least two years. The locals of the area have lauded the police action.
