KATHUA, Feb 24: Kathua police arrested one thief involved in a theft case registered at Police Station, Rajbagh and recovered approximately 21 tollas of gold valuing about Rs 10 lakh from his possession.
Police said during investigation of theft incident in Case FIR NO. 09/2020 U/S 454/380 IPC registered at PS Rajbagh and investigation entrusted to S I Sikander Singh Chouhan of P/S Rajbagh several suspects were rounded up.

It said one suspect namely Rishi Kapoor, S/o Pawan Kapoor of Rampura, Gandhi Nagar Jammu was arrested in the instant case and put to sustained interrogation. He confessed his involvement in the instant case and on his disclosure stolen property i.e. Golden ornaments weighing about 21 Tollas were recovered from Jallo Chack, Baribrahmna. Three golden necklaces weight 75 gram, two golden Mangal Sutar weight 80 gram four pair golden kante weight 28 gram, one golden ring weight five grams, one golden argchandrma weight nine gram, one golden tika weight 6.5 gram and one golden nath weight 9.8 gram.
More recoveries and arrests are likely to be effected in the instant case, police said. Investigation is still in progress to unearth all facts in the theft case, it added.
