Novelty Srinagar to take on Kashmir United in 3rd Christmas Soccer Championship finals

JAMMU, Feb 7: Novelty Club Srinagar and Kashmir United Football Club registered emphatic victories over their rivals and entered into the finals of the ongoing 3rd Christmas Soccer Championship for College Students and J&K Footballers, which is being organized jointly by J&K Police and Christian Sports Organization, under the supervision of Shakeel Beig DIG Jammu and Fr Kuriakose, chairman Christian Sports Organization at GGM Science College football ground, here.
Shriram, SDPO West was the chief guest in the first semifinal match, who was introduced with players of both the teams, while Narinder Gupta was the chief guest in the second semifinal match, who was also introduced with the participating teams.
Earlier in the first match, Novelty F.C. Srinagar defeated Chenab Akhnoor Football Club by 4-0 goals. First goal from Novelty Srinagar was scored by Basit Ahmad in 16th minute, second goal scored by Shahid in 19th minute, third goal by Yasir in 50th minute and fourth goal was scored by Basit in 65th minute of the game.
In the second match, Kashmir United FC defeated Pirates FC by 4-1 goals. Abid of Kashmir United FC scored first goal in 5th minute, Abid scored second goal in 15th minute, third goal was scored by Firdose in 77th minute  and fourth goal scored in 81st minute by Raza, while the only goal from Pirates FC was netted by Shivam in 25th minute of the game.
Now Novelty Srinagar FC will lock horns with Kashmir United FC on January 9, 2015 at 1.30 pm.
