NPP pays tributes to Justice Mahajan

JAMMU, Dec 23: The National Panthers Party activists and locals of Trikuta Nagar area paid rich tributes to Justice Mehr Chand Mahajan in a function held here today.
Neeraj Gupta, Zonal president NPP along with party workers and locals of the area organized a programme at JDA Park Trikuta Nagar to pay tributes to the Ist Prime Minister of J&K, Justice Mehr Chand Mahajan on his birth anniversary. The people present on the occasion were senior and respectable members from various sections of society, women and children.
Gupta said that Justice Mahajan remained the first Prime Minister of Jammu & Kashmir for 142 days, during the reign of Maharaja Hari Singh and played a key role in the accession of J&K to India. He said Justice Mahajan was also the third Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India and also a social activist and writer who worked for the welfare of people of India. He said that Govt should declare holiday on the birth anniversary of the Ist PM of J&K.
Jagdish Singh Baryal, Sunil Verma, Amar Chand, Devinder Singh, Ravinder Singh, Ramesh Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Parmanand and others also paid tributes to Justice Mahajan.
