POWERGRID Inter-Regional Cricket Tourney

JAMMU, Dec 17: In the much-anticipated final of the POWERGRID Inter-Regional Cricket Tournament 2024, hosts Northern Region-II (NR-II) will face Corporate Centre (CC) at MA Stadium tomorrow.
The fourth day of the tournament witnessed two exciting semi-finals, with teams giving their best to secure a spot in the final. The first semi-final, held at University Grounds, saw NR-II triumph over Eastern Region-II (ER-II) by 8 wickets. ER-II, batting first, were bundled out for a mere 86 runs in 16.3 overs. NR-II comfortably chased down the target in 15 overs, losing only two wickets. Saurabh Shukla of NR-II was named Man of the Match for his exceptional performance, taking four wickets for just 9 runs in two overs.
In the second semi-final at MA Stadium, Corporate Centre (CC) defeated Northern Region-I (NR-I) by 27 runs. Batting first, CC scored 137/8 in 20 overs. In reply, NR-I managed to score only 110 runs in their 20 overs, losing 8 wickets. Abhisar Vishnoi of CC, who claimed three wickets, was named Man of the Match.
The final promises to be an exciting contest between two formidable teams.
