JAMMU, May 18: New Star Cricket Club (NSCC) Doda registered win over Zargar Cricket Club (ZCC) Kastigarh by 19 runs in the ongoing All India 11th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2015 played at Sports Stadium Doda.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Bn Doda, J&K Bank and Natnoo Furnishing House Doda.
Earlier, after winning the toss first, NSCC Doda elected to bat first and modest target of 117 runs for the loss of all their wickets in 15 overs.
Mehran Ganai was the highest scorer from NSCC Doda who scored 39 runs while Riyaz contributed 26 runs for the team. From ZCC Kastigarh Irshad clinched 03 wickets while Rashid and Faiz shared 02 wickets each.
In reply, after getting good start, the batsmen of ZCC Kastigarh failed to chase down the target and
scored only 98 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 15 overs. Irshad and Khalid scored 34 and 16 runs respectively while from NSCC Doda, Mehran Ganai took 02 wicket while Sadam, Izhar and Aamir shared 1 wicket each.
Later on, Mehran Ganai of NSCC Doda was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance.
The match was officiated by Munish Jotshi, Ayush Sharma as umpires, while Salinder Singh Bhaduria acted as the scorer.
