NSCC outplays JCC by 40 runs, sails in next stage

JAMMU, July 12: New Star Cricket Club (NSCC) outplayed Jhelum Cricket Club (JCC) by 40 runs and sailed in the next stage of the ongoing 1st Pink Ball KPL Tournament, being organized by Krish Sports and Events at KC College ground, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, NSCC made 152 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Vishal Kanth was the top scorer with 26 runs, while Provin Bhat made 25 runs, Shishu Bhat chipped in 18 runs. Dushyant Koul and Varun scored 17 runs respectively.
From JCC side, Sanjay Raina scalped 3 wickets, while Vinod Kumar took 2 wickets. Amit Koul and Sanjay Koul clinched one wicket each.
In the second inning, JCC failed to chase the target and collapsed at 112 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Ramesh was the highest scorer with 40 runs, while Amit made 25 runs and Kuljeet scored 18 runs.
From NSCC side, Provin Bhat took 2 wickets, while Mintoo Bhat, Rahul Mussa and Vishal Kanth scalped one wicket apiece.
Provin Bhat of NSCC was adjudged as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The match was officiated by Rakesh Kumar and Sunny as umpires, while Faiz acted as scorer.
The match was held under the supervision of Sagar Sadhu and Ave Kachroo from Krish Sports and Events.
