Jammu, Sept 15: The National Secular Forum (NSF) today alleged unprecedented delay in declaration of re-evaluation results by the Controller Wing of Jammu University.
Addressing a press conference, NSF vice-president Surjit Choudhary referred to the data procured through a RTI, according to which Controller Wing of JU took 63 days to declare the re-evaluation result of three students of MA Music, 89 days for three students of IT, 57 days for a single candidate of M A Punjabi, 140 days for just two students of M.A Kashmiri and 253 days for nine students of M.A Hindi.
“That are many other instances where result of the M Sc Chemistry, M Sc Geography, M Sc Physics, M.Com, M.A Urdu were declared after 130, 117, 99, 114 and 109 days respectively even as the University Statutes say that result of the Re-Evaluation must be declared within 45 days,” he said and accused the JU of flouting its own Statutes.
The NSF also urged the Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor to take cognizance of the slackness on the part of Examination wing
