NSF alleges regional discrimination over posts for satellite campuses

JAMMU, Mar 24:Alleging discrimination with Jammu, the National Secular Forum has alleged that the State Government was un-necessarily delaying its nod for creation of posts for the satellite campuses of the University of Jammu.
Addressing the newsmen here today, Dr Vikas Sharma, State president of NSF, said that the Government had recently called a meeting for satellite campuses of the Kashmir University and the requisite posts have been created whereas no similar exercise has been carried for the satellite campuses of the University of Jammu.
“It is the outcome of Kashmir centric politics and the Government is intentionally ignoring the aspirations of Jammu region,” he alleged and lamented that Jammu based politicians and leaders were silent over the issue.
Dr Shafqat Malik, State general secretary NSF, appealed the Chief Minister to look into the matter and hold an enquiry into discrimination over the creation of posts for satellite campuses of Jammu University.
Among those who were present in the press conference, included Sukdev Singh, Vikram Madhyal, Jakir, Amit and others.
