JAMMU, Feb 25: The National Secular Forum, Jammu University unit today organized one-day convention for its activists on the campus and discussed various issues related to the youth.
On the occasion Dr Vikas Sharma, State president NSF, was the chief guest while State senior vice-president Surjit Choudhary presided over the convention and Dr Shafqat Malik general secretary NSF, was the guest of honour.
Through a resolution, NSF demanded that the unemployed youth of the State be provided Government job, construction work in Central University of Jammu be started and responsibility in functioning of Central University Jammu should also be fixed. The NSF also demanded action against all the mismanagement in ETT Colleges of Jammu Province.
Addressing the convention, Dr Vikas Sharma alleged that the CUJ administration was ignoring the youth of Jammu region in jobs, which were being awarded to non-Jammuites. “The varsity administration has violated the norms by recruiting the retired teachers and other staff members,” he added.
Others who addressed the convention, included Surjit Choudhary, Dr. Shafqat Malik,
Ravi Choudhary, Narinder Singh, Kamaldeep Singh, Rishikesh Rana and Pushpinder Singh.
