JAMMU, Dec 2: Cultural organization ‘Ek Sath Rang Mandal’ here today presented Nukad play ‘Manav Sewa’ written and directed by Vijay Malla.
A group of friends wished to become Volunteers and know more about duties of a Volunteer.
They approached one Pt. Vishamber Das, a senior Volunteer, for guidance.
Dass told them that December 5 is observed as International Volunteer Day and seminars, blood donation and medical camps apart from exhibitions are organized on this day.
He told the group wishing to be Volunteers that Volunteers are committed to help and serve the needy without expecting anything in return.
Dass told them: “If you want be a volunteer you should always be ready to help others. Treatment with First Aid and rescue operations is your duty.”
He also said that a volunteer should possess rich character and should be an inspiration for others.
The volunteer should render services to school going children, patients, orphans, old age people and accident victims, he continued.
Artists who performed in the play were Qurat Ul Ain, Happy Gupta, Raju Mad, Ashok Sharma, Ruksar Khan, Vishal and Vijay Malla.
