JAMMU, Dec 20: National Youth Corps (NYC) volunteers flayed the Government for its failure in conceding their long pending demand of regularization.
Carrying placards and banners, NYC volunteers assembled in front of the Press Club and raised slogans against the Government for not redressing their demand of regularisation.
Addressing the gathering, State vice president of All J&K National Youth Corps (NYC) Association, Asif Ali Bhat said that the Government is not serious about the future of 8000 youth of the State.
He said NYCs are engaged with different Government departments and have rendered 2 years service and now the Government is implementing use and throw policy, which is not bearable at all.
Bhat further stated that the criminal silence of the Government on this issue will surely put the future of the NYC’s in dark.
He demanded regularization of their services as they have experience of rural development, urban development, social welfare, education, tourism, etc.
He added that if the Government failed to do the needful in this regards, they will come on roads and for any untoward incident the Government will be responsible.
Among others present were Sayed Bakar Jafri, State joint secretary, Mushtaq Bhat, State advisor, Jagdeep Singh, State accountant, Sheikh Abid Hussain, State spokesman, Sunil Chouhan, organizer, Sunil Rajput, secretary and Mahesh Sharma, district president Udhampur.
