POONCH, Jan 13: Inter-block level sports tournament was organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) in collaboration with Jan Memorial Youth Club at HSS Ground Seri Khawaja, here today.
Many teams from different villages of the Block Lassana participated in the tournament in different games including Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and other events.
The finals of Kabaddi and Volleyball were played between Kalai and Malik Club Seri, wherein Kalai defeated Seri in both the disciplines.
Sohail Malik, DDC Surankote-B was the chief guest who witnessed finals of both Kabaddi and Volleyball and interacted with the players. He also advised them to stay away from drugs.
He added that being a DDC Member, it’s my duty to channelize the energy of budding youth in the right way and participate in these tournaments to make their lives successful in future.
Pervaiz Malik (Founder Rahul Dravid Cricket Academy) presented vote of thanks. Medals and momentum were distributed among the runners-up and winners.
Waseem Akram (PET), Pervaiz Malik Afridi (REK), Aijaz Malik (REK), Manzoor Lone (REK), Shabir Malik (REK) and Manzoor Rather (REK) were the officials of the matches.
