KATHUA, Dec 22: Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, (NYKS) Jammu and Kashmir zone organized State Level Declamation Contests on the topic “Patriotism and National Building” at Women College, Kathua, today.
After completion of Declamation contests at Block and District levels, the State Level declamation contest was organized in Kathua. In this State level contest the District Level winner hailing from Nehru Yuva Kendra, Jammu, Udhampur, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch and Kathua has participated.
Sukhdev Singh, Zonal Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, J&K was chief guest on the occasion and inaugurate the function by lighting the lamp, Dr Satinder Singh Principal, Government. Women College, Kathua was guest of honour and S S Kashyap, Deputy Director preside over the function.
Youth ambassador from 6 districts threw light on the various dimensions and aspects of Patriotism and role, duties and responsibilities of individuals in Nation Building.
Zubair Ahmed Mugal from NYK Poonch adjudged as winner and conferred Rs. 25000 as Cash Prize and a citation certificate. Sazid Ahmed from Thana Mandi Rajouri stand 2nd and was conferred Rs 10,000 as cash prize and Vivek Kumar from Kathua stands 3rd and awarded Rs. 5000 as cash prize.
Principal Government Women College, Kathua in his address urged upon youth to be law abiding citizen of India and be disciplined and honest in endeavour in serving the Nation with the spirit.
