JAMMU, May 11: Pt. Omkar Nath Shastri, chairman Pt. Prem Nath Shastri Sanskritik Shodh Sansthan and a scholar of Shastras participated in religious conference on Akhand Bharat and Hindu Sanskaars held in the premises of Mahakaleshwar temple Neelamanggalam village, Kanchipuram, district of Tamil Nadu.
The religious meet was organized by Swami Brahmayog-anda Ji in connection with Ist anniversary celebration of Shri Mahanarayana Swamy Temple from April 22 to May 9.
The religious leaders and scholars from all over India attended the function and Shastri Ji represented the J&K. The function started on April 22 with the flag hoisting by senior RSS leader Bhia Ji Joshi and Swami Ji.
Swami Ji had constructed a grand temple in this village which is the replica of Maha Kaleshwar temple of Ujain. The main theme of the religious conference was the revival of ancient culture and aesthetics and take India to its roots.
Swami Ji is working to revive the golden period of India. He also dwelt at length during his discourses over the challenges being faced by the country today.
Addressing the conference Pt. Omkar Nath Shastri threw light on the Sanakrs and also on the contribution of Rishi Logakhey who had come to Kashmir from South and laid a strong basis of Sanaskars in the Valley. He stressed on popularizing Sanskrit and said that a campaign needs to be launched for teaching Sanskrit all over the country as all religious books including Vedas are written in Sanskrit.
During the conference Shastri Ji and other dignitaries were honoured by Swami Ji.
