NEW DELHI, Jan 19: With less than 48 hours before he hands over charge to President-elect Donald Trump, outgoing US President Barack Obama placed a phone call to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to convey his best wishes for growing bilateral ties.
“Prime Minister received a telephone call from US President Barack Obama last evening,” MEA spokesperson Vilas Swarup said.
The two leaders reviewed with satisfaction the significant all round progress and cooperation in ties between India and the US in the past few years.
Mr Modi thanked President Obama for his strong support and contribution in strengthening the strategic partnership between India and the US.
He conveyed his best wishes to President Obama for his future endeavours. (AGENCIES)
