SRINAGAR, May 3: Police today arrested an Over Ground Worker (OGW) during the investigation into last month’s attack on a non-local cab driver in the Shopian.
Police said that a joint team of police, Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles, and the CRPF’s 14 battalion made a significant breakthrough in the case by arresting an OGW.
“With a significant development in the investigation of the Padpawan attack case at Danish Resorts, Shopian Police, along with 44RR and 14Bn CRPF, have made a noteworthy breakthrough at Chotipora with the recovery of 6 AK 47 rounds, 2 cell phones, and one OGW,” police said.

On April 9, taxi driver, Paramjit Singh, a resident of Delhi, was fired upon in an apparent targeted attack by militants in Padpawan village of Shopian, injuring him critically.
The attack took place at the Danish resort in Heerpura, which falls on Mughal Road and connects Kashmir with Rajouri and Poonch districts of the Jammu region.
