JAMMU, Feb 22: A man died today after being hit by a train at Bajalta area of city outskirts.
“The deceased was identified as Vimal Kumar (70) son of late Narinder Nath, resident of Bajalta,” a police official said, adding, the old man was hit by the moving train at Bajalta.
He said the seriously injured man was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary of the Hospital for postmortem while GRP Bajalta had taken cognizance of the matter, the official added.
