Omar concerned over reports on SPOs escaping with weapons

SRINAGAR: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed concern over  reports that two ex-militants turned Special Police Officers (SPOs) had escaped with arms and ammunition in the Doda district of Jammu region.
If true, this is a worrying development and needs to be checked before it becomes the rule rather than  exception, Mr Abdullah said on micro blogging site tweeter.
Mr Abdullah, was reacting to reports that two ex-militant turned SPOs had escaped alongwith assault rifles and magazines in Doda recently.
However, one of the reaction to Mr Abdullah’s tweet said  This has happened in the past too, @abdullah_omar. Not a new thing.
Another reaction said that   so much for inducting stone pelters & militants in the J&K Police Force in the last 6 yrs  while another said  have some own views rather than commenting?. (agencies)
