JAMMU, Dec 14: On the third day of ongoing ‘Yuvtarang-2023’ organized by the Department of Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu, the Kalanjali events comprising of ‘One Act Play’, ‘Mimicry’, ‘Western Vocal Solo’, ‘Western Vocal Group’ and ‘Western Instrumental Solo’ witnessed enthusiastic participation of the students today.
In ‘One Act Play’, MAM College bagged first place, GCW Gandhi Nagar stood second and School of Teacher Education secured Third position. Akash and Shazia from MAM College were declared as The Best Actor Male and Female, respectively in One Act play.
In Mimicry, Savi from GCW Gandhi Nagar, Surya Bhaskar Sharma from GGM Science College and Akash Katoch from MAM College bagged first, second and third positions respectively. Dr Abhishek Bharti, Theatre Director; Ifra Kak (Cultural officer, Jammu University) and Kamal Razdan were the adjudicators for One Act Play and Mimicry.
In ‘Western Vocal Solo’, Vineet Raina from MAM College stood first while Mehak Akhtar and Dyuti Kaur from GCW Gandhi Nagar stood second and third, respectively.
In the event ‘Western Vocal Group’, MAM College bagged first prize whereas GCW Gandhi Nagar stood second and third prize went to GGM Science College.
In the event of ‘Western Instrumental Solo’, Sunny from MAM College secured first place, Arpit Matto from Govt SPMR College of Commerce bagged second and Sharad Chettri from MAM College third position. Dr Mukteshi Sharma of GCW Parade, Narinder Wazir, Musician and Amarjeet Singh from Doordarshan were the adjudicators for Kalanjali events of Western Vocal Solo’, ‘Western Vocal Group’, and ‘Western Instrumental Solo’.
Dr Babita Jamwal was the Event Incharge. These events are planned, organised and supervised by Dr Ranvijay Singh, Dean and his team of Department of Students Welfare, CLUJ.
Dr Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar; Prof Ranvijay Singh, Dean Students Welfare; Dr Kuldeep Raina, Cultural Coordinator; Prof Ashu Manhas, Associate Dean; Prof Mohd Ashraf, Assistant Dean; Dr Shubhra Jamwal, Assistant Dean; Prof Sunita, Assistant Dean; members of Campus Cultural Committee, faculty members and students were present during the events. Dr Mohd Zuber Kalis, Dean Education, was the Observer.
