DODA, Oct 13: Continuing its drive against bovine smuggling, police today arrested a bovine smuggler and rescued three bovines from his possession.
According to a police spokesperson, during routine naka checking at Nai Basti Karara, a police party of police post Karara falling under the jurisdiction of police station Thathri, intercepted a person namely Ghulam Nabi of Thelalla, tehsil Thathri, district Doda, who was illegally smuggling three bovines on foot towards Kishtwar. The man was arrested on the spot and all the three bovines rescued.
A case FIR No 75/2015 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at police station Thathri and further investigation in the case is going on.
