JAMMU, Apr 2: A student of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College was arrested today for sedition charges.
According to a police spokesperson, the accused student identified as Inzamam-ul-Haq son of Babu Hussain Khan, a resident of Rajouri, who was booked yesterday by Pacca Danga police for allegedly torching Tri-colour and raising anti-national slogans in college hostel, was today arrested by the police.
“A case FIR No 46/2016 under Sections 323, 506 was registered yesterday against the accused in police station Pacca Danga, after a strong protest by the college staff and students against anti-National activities of the accused”, he said, adding since then the accused was absconding.
“Today, on specific inputs, a police team from Pacca Danga arrested the police from Rehari area”, the spokesman further added.
