RAJOURI, Feb 21: One persons was killed while five injured in two separate road accidents in Rajouri area today.
Official sources said that four persons were injured when a Tempo-Traveller No. JK02AG/8846 collided with a Tipper No. JK-11A/4158 near Mega Mart on National Highway in Rajouri this morning. The injured were rushed to GMC Hospital Rajouri where one of them succumbed to injuries. He was identified as Sajad Ali, son of Mohd Ali, resident of Swari in Kotranka.
The injured, Rafaqat Hussain from Marhi Gujran, Imtiyaz Ahmed from Ward No. 7 Rajouri and Irfan Ahmed from Marhi Gujran were undergoing treatment in district Hospital, Rajouri. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, two persons were injured when an Alto car No. JK-12/6042 collided with a truck at Tariq bridge at Rajouri. The car was on way to Poonch from Jammu. The injured persons traveling in car namely, Khalid Hussain and Abdul Rashid, both residents of Sathra in Mandi were removed to District Hospital, Rajouri. The truck driver escaped from the spot. The police has taken cognizance.
