One dies due to shooting stone on Mughal Road

POONCH, Aug 30: A youth was killed in an incident of shooting stones on Mughal Road in Surankote area of district Poonch today.
Official sources said that a youth identified as Shahzad Ahmed (21), son of Saif Ullah, a resident of Gambhir Muglan in Rajouri died on the spot when a shooting stone hit a Maruti car on Mughal Road. Later, the road was closed for vehicular movement by the authorities in view of inclement weather conditions.
Sources further said thar Maruti car bearing registration number JK11A-4674 with four persons on board was on its way from Kashmir towards Rajouri. When it reached Mansar Morh on Mughal Road, a shooting stone hit the vehicle in which youth was critically injured. Later, he succumbed to the injuries there.
” The dead body was brought to SDH Surankote, where legal formalities were conducted and body was handed over to family for last rites”, BMO Surankote Dr Yousuf said.
Meanwhile, AEE PWD (R&B) Sub Division Buffliaz wrote to DySP Traffic Rajouri-Poonch to suspend the traffic movement on Mughal Road due to inclement weather condition and continuous rainfall, following which road was closed for traffic movement by the concerned department till weather improves.
