RAMBAN, May 11: One person died as truck rolled down in a deep gorge on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Maroog falling under the jurisdiction of Ramban Police Station, today.
According to the police spokesman, a truck bearing number PBO6G-9247 rolled down in a deep gorge on National Highway near Maroog as driver could not judge the sharp curve.
On getting the information of accident, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the driver to District Hospital for treatment.
But he could not respond to the treatment and died. His body has been kept in District Hospital for postmortem.
The driver has been identified as Naresh Kumar(28) son of Magro Ram, resident of Kathua.
Meanwhile, Ramban police has taken the cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
