JAMMU, Apr 9: Bakshi Nagar police today arrested a person with 70 litres of diesel which he had purchased from the operators of the Government vehicles.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Bakshi Nagar police station led by SHO Dileep Singh intercepted a Maruti car bearing registration number JK14A-6457 near Maheshpura.
During checking, police recovered 70 litres of diesel and on inquiry the car owner told police that he had purchased the diesel from the operators of Government vehicles.
The owner of the car identified as Chandan Singh, son of Bhajan Singh of Chaffrechak, Kanachack was arrested.
A case under FIR number 34/14 has been registered at Bakshi Nagar police station and investigation started to arrest the persons behind the sale of the diesel meant for Government vehicles.
